This commercial space is located in front of a public square with only pedestrian traffic allowed and is directly across from a children’s playground, so it was decided to design a very open façade inviting entry and, in turn, allowing for clear sight-lines of the play ground. In addition, the chocolate shop also has an outdoor terrace with tables situated in the square.

The clients requested that the shop be cosy and comfortable; a place to enjoy milkshakes, pastries, coffee and, of course, chocolate confections, both when sitting inside as well as outside on the terrace.

Warm materials and finishes were used with brown tones that evoked chocolate making. The very small space was laid out with a retail area, a bench and some stools, a pair of tables, a counter, a storage area and the toilet.
